Winchester Art
Club – Annual Exhibition 2008 Saturday 6 September until Sunday 5 October Opening time: Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm, Saturday 10am - 5pm, Sunday 11am - 4pm Free Admission An exhibition of paintings, drawings and sculpture by members of the Winchester Art Club This annual exhibition offers the chance for members of the club, who range from complete beginners to experienced artists, to exhibit a range of work from painting to sculpture, drawings to prints. The art club was founded in 1919 and developed from the Winchester Fine Arts Society which had existed since 1888. Club members range from complete beginners to experienced artists and submit their work for judging and inclusion in the annual exhibition, held for the first time this year in City Space in the Winchester Discovery Centre. The Winchester Art Club exhibition is always a popular and colourful event, attracting considerable local interest and support. After exhibiting for many years in the Guildhall Gallery why not come along and see them in Winchester City Council's new venue for temporary exhibitions, City Space. |
