A new website in days, not months. Moving is our job.

We copy your whole site, every historic PDF and your domain, and you go live within days of saying yes, or on the day your current contract ends if that’s later. Nothing to pay until your new website goes live, so you never pay two suppliers at once.

Sound familiar?

  • Provider closing? We’ve got you. Tell us the date and we copy your site before it goes dark, then have you live on a new, accessible website within days. Not weeks, and not months.
  • New clerk? Inherited a website you didn’t choose, a login nobody can find and a supplier who doesn’t answer? Within days you’ll have a site you can run yourself, and a training call to go with it.
  • Moving to .gov.uk? It’s the natural moment to get a site that works. We handle the records with your registrar and move everything at the same time, so it’s one change, not two.
  • Site looks ten years old, the browser says “not secure”, and uploading one document takes an afternoon? That’s most council websites. We fix all of it in one move.

How the move works

Days, not months. About an hour of the clerk’s time in total, and your current site stays live until the switch.

  1. Step 1 · Day 1You give us your current web addressWe read the site, count the PDFs and come back with a plan and a go-live date that fits your contract.
  2. Step 2 · Within three working daysWe build it and move everythingYour preview, built from your current site: pages, councillors, notices and every agenda and set of minutes, sorted by year and meeting.
  3. Step 3 · A few days, with your registrarWe sort the domain and emailWe send your registrar the records to change and chase them. .gov.uk registrars can take a few days, so we build that in.
  4. Step 4 · Within days, or when your contract endsTraining, then liveThirty to forty-five minutes with the clerk. Then the switch, with your old address forwarded so nothing residents have bookmarked breaks.

What moves, all of it free

  • Every page on your current site, rewritten into the pages a council site needs
  • Every agenda, set of minutes and meeting paper, however far back, sorted by year and committee
  • Councillors, with their roles and register of interests links
  • Accounts, the annual return and the Transparency Code items you’ve already published
  • Notices and news from the last year
  • Your .gov.uk domain, moved with your registrar, or applied for if you don’t have one yet, with a forward from your old address

We check the result with you before go-live. If a document is missing from your old site, we tell you which one, so the gap is a known gap.

Nothing to pay until you go live

You start paying the day your new website goes live, usually the day your current contract ends. Then one annual invoice, by BACS.

Switching questions

We're in a contract until next year. Can we start now?

Yes. We build and migrate now, in days, and switch on the day your current contract ends. Your preview is free, and you start paying the day your new website goes live, so you never pay two suppliers at once.

Our minutes go back twenty years. Will they really all move?

Yes, as part of the price. We copy every document from your current site, sort them by year and meeting type, and check the result with you. Old documents stay as PDFs; new minutes are published as web pages from the Word document you upload, with the PDF alongside.

Can we keep our .gov.uk domain, and can you get us one?

.gov.uk domains are held with approved registrars, who control the records. We're not a registrar: we send yours exactly what to change and chase it, and we plan around the few days it can take. If you don't have a .gov.uk domain yet, we apply for one for you with an approved registrar, included in the price. The registrar's own fee, typically £40 to £100 a year for the domain, is the council's.

What happens when the clerk changes?

The new clerk gets a free training call, like the last one did. Every new clerk does, for as long as the council is with us. The admin tells them what's due, so nothing about the website lives in one person's head.
